Umaru Sanda Ahmadu College of Education, Minna, recently hosted a colorful and well-attended matriculation ceremony, formally welcoming 1,551 new students into the 2025/2026 academic session. The occasion was distinguished by the presence of Dr. Aminu Yusuf, President of the Alumni Association and Chairman of the National Population Commission, who demonstrated his enduring commitment to the institution by sponsoring the tuition fees of eight students on the spot.
A key highlight of the ceremony was the administration of the oath of allegiance, conducted by the Registrar, Hajia Zainab Aliyu Sidi, as the newly admitted students pledged to uphold the values and regulations of the college. In his address, the Dean of Student Affairs, Mallam Nasiru Kontagora, urged the students to remain focused on their academic pursuits and to uphold exemplary character throughout their stay.
In his remarks, the Provost, Dr. Muhammad Baba, expressed profound appreciation to Dr. Yusuf for his consistent support and notable contributions, particularly in advancing the college’s dual mandate and supporting the success of its 50th anniversary celebrations.
