The Provost of the college, Dr. Muhammad Baba, who received the delegation alongside members of the management team, described the initiative as a major step toward achieving one of the institution’s core mandates, research. He explained that since Arabic and Islamic Studies are already accredited programmes in the college, the centre would further enhance academic activities through conferences, workshops, seminars, and Da’awah programmes.
Dr. Baba also revealed that the partnership with Darul Erkan Foundation, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed about three weeks ago, marked the college’s first collaboration with an external organization. He added that the establishment of the centre is a key component of the agreement.
The visit concluded with the presentation of the proposed building plan and an inspection of the project site.
